I still have the 1st gen MBP and it's time to upgrade, but I'm waiting till they release the new ones... I'm dying over here.

Why the fuck to some idiots put so much faith in Kevin Rose's predictions? He's been wrong countless times and Nosterdamas when he's been right he's just been guessing the same thing that rumor sites were guessing about before him. He gets one right and Digg geeks hail him as a god with an inside connection at Apple. Kind of that effect where if you make enough predictions some are bound to come true.

He's been right 3 times, wrong twice and partially right once.

His track record is better than some other folks.

He's right about the new 4G Nano. It's a candybar style iPod.

This event is iPod related only, surely no notebook or mac mini updates for this event.

:hsugh: Apple only ever releases new ipods once during Sept-Oct. They do a size refresh occasionally sometime in March-May.

IMO the MBP is a solid design already, only thing I would like to see is adding a user replaceable hard drive.

I'm glad to see the nano go to a longer, slim shape. It makes it much more usable IMO. That short, stumpy look is just retarded.

:werd: I love the look of my MBP. I just wish I pull the hard drive with ease.

How much easier do you want the hard drive to be to replace? You pull the battery, remove 3 screws and slide it right out. No Dell is that easy.

I agree that the MacBook Pro is a solid design. I don't see why people are so bent on a new form factor. Apple could double the processor speed and some people would still complain because the case design hasn't changed. Seems to be the people that value looks over function and would never use the current power of the MBP to it's full extent anyways.

Dell is that easy. I have one right next to me that is held in by two screws.
