I'm programming in pro apps
which pro apps do you work on.
Please say FCP, Shake, or Motion
I wish i could work with you.
I used to. Customer service, then tech support, then Mac Genius, then laid off.
Soundtrack, sorry...why those in particular?
sorry to hear it
Cause theyre so fucking bad ass.
how did you get your job?
Can you tell me about the training process when you become a "Mac Genius". I have my 3rd interview/final for a full time "Mac Genius" postion in 10 day and wanted to know about the 7 weeks and the 2 weeks in Cupertino.
I'm a film guy. Soundtrack is pretty sweet though; I've used it a few times for some temp tracks on some videos until the music guy can lay the final track down.
Is there going to be better integration with Logic 6 anytime soon?
Well, since i worked tech support and had been with apple for about 4 years previous to that, i didnt go to all the training in Cupertino. However, i wish i did. It was lots of fun seeing the campus. We used to party with the other trainees all the time toon. Went down town and partied our asses off, hella drinking and group dinners.
I only went to the last week which was the tech stuff. taking stuff apart.
Ask the trainers in Cupertino of they remember me, Daniel Mora. Ask em if i can get my job back.
apple had come recruiting on campus (cornell), and I guess my application and interviews went well
sorry, secrets stay secret
Hmm.. any way to find out what schools they recuit at? Also, what classes did you take?
Im debating on wether going to Texas State or College for Creative Studies in Detroit ( ) but i dont want to get into development, more of design, ID, marketing, creative.
is that like a yes secret or a no secret
I know they visit the classic CS schools (i.e. MIT, Stanford, CMU), but beyond that, I'm not 100% sure...I vaguely recall a web page on their site listing which schools they'd visit during the year and it listed something like less than 10 schools (boy did I feel lucky!). Of course, this is for computer science, so I'm not really sure how it works for other disciplines...
As far as coursework, it's all CS stuff really, so if development's not your thing, I'm not sure you'll find my roster too helpful.
lol, i'm sorry...a secret secret
I hate development.
well get to work on it!
