for girls. Took 4 girls and a guy out shooting yesterday and it was all their first time. Only had an hour of range time before the closed so I didn't do much instruction. Just basic sight alignment, trigger control, and grip. I shoot with my thumbs pointed forward and and everyone had a hard time just holding it in their hand properly. They said it was akward.

Shooting wise, everyone said their sights were on target when the pulled the trigger but most couldnt hit a shoot-n-c target at 7 yards. I was watching the gun and it didnt shake or anything before hand so the sights probably werent lined up. Everyone wants to go again next week though. :)

Can't wait to get a Kadet kit for it. Probably be much easier for everyone to learn on without getting scared of the recoil of 9mm (from improper grip).

Try some of the thinner grips. I wear a size L glove, but still rock the thin grips on all my CZ's. The cocobolos are my fav's as far as contour is concerned.

Oh, and you should probably buy my extra Kadet kit from me too....

Make sure you drill into them that they need to focus on the **** front sight and stop looking at the target. That seems to be a big problem with new pistol shooters that I see. They don't realize that the target isn't going to move and you want the front sight in focus.

Had my eye on the aluminum ones that AB13 has. The only thing holding me back right now is price.

I did but each shooter only shot maybe 10-15 rounds.

CZ makes thin rubber grips too. Those are the ones I'm running. I do like the aluminum cz grips. I got a set of red ones off a prize table but I'm giving it to flora because she says it matches her red CR speed belt.

Thin grips on the CZ almost makes it handle like a whole nother gun. They're kinda bank, but I haz to haz thems. I can't believe this is a double stack but the grips are thinner than my 1911.

What's the best way to instruct someone proper grip?

My method is having the slide line up with their wrist and elbow. Left hand like a handshake and cover the empty space on the left side of the frame. Thumbs relaxed.

You beat me to the punch on that set, I was only a couple minutes late. Thought about asking for seconds, but I didn't figure you much for fucking around.

If my slide would ever come back for my 75 compact I'd take pictures of it w/ the CZ Custom thin AL grips and grip tape. Thing feels like MONEY in my hands... Just don't want pics til the gun is back together.
