I went to every pet store in town, Target, grocery stores, and even Wal-Mart (I HATE Wal-Mart) and nobody has it. Finally I go to a store nearby and find out from the manager that this stuff has become very unpopular because it has caused certain problems, or at least rumors of problems, with some small pets. That's why nobody is carrying it anymore.

Fortunately, he's cool enough to order me some.

Just a heads-up in case you go looking for this stuff and can't find it anymore.

How were they on stock of corn cob media? That's what I use primarily.

You can usually find it at feed stores. They often call it bird litter. The stuff is pretty course I understand why it would be bad for like mice, rabbits, or lizards to run around in. Birds on the other hand don't spend much time on the bottom of the cage.

Some hardware stores like harbor freight have it as they sell tumblers.

Regarding corncob, that stuff generates too much dust. Way too messy.

Also at the range we got a cement mixer that they use to tumble brass. Have not been completely sold on it. The one good thing is that they can use more liquid polish because it won't leak and screw up the motor of a vibratory tumbler. It is loud though and really makes a mess.

It's the stuff you put in a tumbler to clean brass.

I found it at PetSmart and Petco. Both had it in 7lb and 20lb bags.
