    So I sign the lease for a new place this week. I am really excited because it has a rooftop deck that overlooks the skyline and lake (Chicago).

    Anyways, best part is that the place has a gym in the basement of the buildling. It's nothing special... just a couple boflex type machines and DB's upto 30lbs, pullup/dip rack, and a few treadmills.
    My University gym is SUPER nice, but it closes at 11pm and it is a 10min walk from my apartment. So now if the weather is really bad or the University gym is closed I can improv a workout in the apartment building gym (open 24/7).
    :bowdown::hsd:

    Anyone else utilize something similar for certain situations?

    My apartment that i'm looking at has brand new Precor machines including their new function trainer. The only have dumbbells up to 50 but the function machines hits my chest harder with the cable presses. :cool:

    :rofl:

    Yes I am serious.

    Alright you brown-starfish fuckers.... it's not an ideal place to lift but like I said I have my university gym which is huge and is better than 99% of commercial gyms.

    However, my Uni gym closes at 11 and my new place is a 10min walk away (live in Chicago, can't really drive there)... so for any reason I can't get to the Uni gym by 11 or the weather is too shitty to walk to ride my bike then I could always get at least a halfway decent workout in the apartment gym.
    I don't plan to workout there a lot, but I thought it was cool to have just incase.

    30lbs worth of DB's won't do shit but the boflex machines and a pullup/dip rack have some potential for an improv workout.

    Put a power rack and barbell setup on the rooftop deck. Problem solved.

    Lifting on a rooftop deck 20 stories high during a thunderstorm would be fucking BOSS!
