I haven't had any luck finding any place, even in used surplus there are only a handful of places that have them in stock.

The local milsurp joint doesn't even carry the Fat 50's and the standard 50's they sell are junk... dented, rusted, cracked gaskets, etc...

The closest I've found is sold by ronin and includes their ammo can lock and is pushing $40, and I don't really want to pay for the lock when I probably won't use it.

I have a few projects in mind and don't want to start off with junk...

Its still usually called a Fat 50, or a 50 SAW can. :dunno: Should've left the "." out of the title.

    Never seen unissued.
Maybe try J&G Sales, they have some nice condition ones.

Got my terminology a little fucked up...

    Look here http://www.imsplus.com/ims3.html

Second can down is a standard .50 cal ammo can. This is too small.

Third can down (no picture, only text) is what I'm looking for... "SAW Can also known as the 'Fat 50'"

Fourth can down is the 60MM also known as the "Tall 50".

I would like a couple of the Fat 50 cans in new or like new condition. I just thought somebody might be be able to say... "oh yeah, you can get brand new ones at abc-xyz.com". I guess I'll just have to order a couple of surplus and hope I get lucky on condition.
