anything that protects windows?

    hi, im about to buy a new car. i want to know if there was some type of protection i could put on my windows for people who use pellet guns to shoot out windows? any help is appreciated thanks.

    If you seriously have to worry about that, you should move somewhere with a garage.

    I don't know of any protectant from vandalism.

    well it was at my girlfriends house, so theres no type of film i could cover my windows with?

    I saw advertised at a trade show one time...a film for the windsheild that was VERY similar to the 3M clear bra material that is used on paint and headlights. That is basicly an impact resistant film, that helps add a laminate barrier to the window to help absorb and disperce projectile impact, virtually eliminating chips in the windsheild.


    Or so the marketing scheme went. Never actually seen the product elsewhere...and it could be that it was the exact same material as the 3M clear bra. :dunno:

    Maybe call a local glass shop and see what they might offer.
