or was the v710 the peak of their phone selection?
Motorola V8XX (v710 update with EVDO support, don't remember the exact model #)
Samsung A9XX 2.0 megapixel EVDO phone with bluetooth
The first three are out now and I would take any of them over the 710 unless you have to have bluetooth. The Moto and the second Samsung should hit in the 2nd quarter.
yes, bluetooth is a priority, even if its the gay disabled bluetooth
basically what he said. i don't know if the new samsung will be limited bluetooth, but my guess is that it will.
Two new Verizon phones were added to Phonescoop.com this week. One was the Samsung model I mentioned above the Samsung A940. It is on the front page, not a full listing. The LG VX8100 was also added. This will be an update to the current VX8000 and will add Bluetooth, 512mb memory, and a mini SD memory slot. Rumor is it may be out as early as next month. I don't have any idea about pricing.
i am def looking forward to the a940. finally something w/ bluetooth and a memory expansion slot to replace my v710
Any news on when is the Motorola E815 will be available?
(That's the EVDO'ed version of the V710)
The rumor I heard was May, but Moto's release dates are usually unreliable. They will be under pressure to release an EVDO phone though so you never know. The Samsung A970 looks like it will be the phone to beat around that time frame. The price is what scares me.
No Java and no email client?
If Verizon if gets a real full-featured phone that isn't crippled in some way, I might actually consider switching but their phones always seem so half-assed. No good for a gadget freak.
And fully capable bluetooth is a MUST HAVE.
I also read in some industry news that Motorola finally announced they will release a CDMA version of the RAZR. It will be slightly thicker to accomodate a 1.13 megapixel camera. Japan is supposed to get it first but it is expected to be released in the US.
I'd love a cdma version of the V1150 soon.
I like the keypad design and the hinge area a lot more than the RAZR.
I hate the keys on the razr, my roommate has one, they just dont feel right
link to samsung a940?
yeah i cant find it either
cuz its the a970
