Seems pretty legit. Is there anything better out there?
I've been informed that I didn't hate on oscommerce enough in my previous post.
OSC IS A GIANT PIECE OF BLOATED GOATASS THAT IS POORLY MAINTAINED AND HAS AN UNCERTAIN FUTURE DUE TO DEVELOPER DISINTEREST. I'D RATHER CHOP MY DICK OFF, STICK IT IN A BLENDER WITH SOME ICECREAM, AND DRINK THE RESULTING DICKSHAKE THAN USE OSCOMMERCE.
ive heard people recommend ubercart
my buddy just used magento to build a site and it looks pretty slick, the backend is nice and it seems to work well. I've used osCommerce on a few sites and I never had a problem... lots of support forums, mods, and pretty easy to find help.
well i am building a site for a guy who works for a brance of zerox. i guess he sells laser printers and stuff. I just need something simple like OsCommerce or Zencart. just need to know which one is better/easier to apply templates to.
what api plugin?
seems like the OSCommerce's 'STS' add-on makes template integration easy. I am torn. need to make a decision soon though
magento would randomly delete or lock us of the install, we were paying for support through them and they were like, uh sorry ,dunno brha
I'm going to give Magento a whirl.
I've been using prestacart. I don't recommend it I'm debating abandoning prestacart/shop whatever the fuck its called and possibly picking up magento
When I was looking for cart software I pretty much tried everything. And I was going to use magento, but I couldn't get products to show on the homepage . I think at the time it was only possible with changing code
And I ended up with
Very easy to use, nice looking and the only thing I didn't like about it was that it had a couple small bugs. But I think those have been fixed with the newest version.
Here is my moola cashback store if you want to have a look:
that site looks like fucking shit
let me see your site?
I think OS Commerce is about the worst looking cart software made. It looks like it hasn't been updated in 10 years
Presta Shop and Magento are the best looking shops out there
so, what do you do to feature products on the home page?
