Its been almost 2 months since I submitted it. I'm going to school and have been since Jan 3 of this year. I've gotten notices saying they're backed up and all that mess (you know how it goes) and that they will process my GI Bill ASAP (yeah right).

How long did it take you to get your money from Mont GI Bill?
Will I get back pay for last month and possibly this month for school? I sure hope so.

They send you a monthly check to you right? Then you send the money to the school or what. I heard you can make bank off the GI bill.

I'm trying to find out a way to get paid unemployment, have my (community) college pay for my tuition, and get paid the gi-bill all at the same time monthly. This is possible. I will see what info I can come up with and post it on here.

    Uhhh

They DENIED my ass on totally wrong grounds.

I didn't serve over the 3 years BUT I was discharged under disability which entitles me to a little bit of a lower rate.

But I did the 600 buy in, so that gets me to around 1k a month.

I have paid for everything thus far.

    I need that cash, damn.

Paperwork on your GI Bill status would have been given to you when you outprocessed. There was a sheet I had to sign saying the status of what I eligible to recieve. It is a DD Form 2366

Well, I'm getting Voc Rehab if I choose next semester

So depending on which one ends up giving me more money each month is the one I'll choose.

So I got a letter from the VA today. I have been approved for the GI Bill. Just not the GI Bill Selected Reserves 'cause I'm not a weekend warrior.

so far I'm doing good. I'm taking easy classes and I'm still getting college credits. Problem is, is that I don't know exactly to what direction I want to go with as far as my education and carreer. I don't know if what programs I wanna take and so fourth. I still have a couple of weeks to think about it till the quarter ends.

I was never offered the kicker....is it too late to get it if I have paid off my GI BIll already. Also, isnt $497/month low? I was told it would be somewhere around 900$ and with the kicker it would be 1,100$

yeah it does sound low, my buddy who got out last September is getting over $1100/month with the kicker.. damn I can't wait until I can get out.
btw, My brother in law is getting out of the Army soon, and he was saying that he read the amount that you receive per month is dependant on several things. He said if you have a lot of money in the bank, you will be entitled to less benefits, but there are loop holes and shit.. I really need to start looking into it.
