I'm not sure if I want to manual focus but the pictures from it look nice from what I've seen. I remember seeing someone use it...

I've been wondering about this lens too but it seems as it would be pretty hard to manual focus it wide open with a shallow dof.

Mine shipped out yesterday. I should have it by the end of the week and I can give a report then. I know turbodude has one and the shots I've seen look good.

its awesome for nikons. Its an AI's 85 1.4. Its sharp, has great bokeh, has a good MF ring, and is cheap.

    samples with teh ronkinon

I'm used to the split prism focusing from film days and I was debating on getting the Katz eye to help my aging eyes.

From what I read, the metering isn't effected much (if any).

al, i was looking at the 135 f/2 DC (LATER when i can find for a steal) since we both have the 85/90 combo. I think that's my plan.

Even though its MF, you still get focus confirmation on the D700 dont you?
