anyone use the gmail shell extension tool?

    it used to work. it was actually pretty sweet. your only limited to files that are 10 megs each though. i wish it still worked, i wanted to upload my photos so i have a backup of them. i have about 1.5 gigs of photos. obviously i have other means of backup with dvds etc, but i wish this still worked. it was like free network storage, mapped as a drive.

    does it work for anyone else?

    Yeah I used to use it.. couldn't really make it usefull so I just never used it again

    Doesn't work anymore, but the gSpace extension for Firefox does....

    Hmm, would be a fun progect to work on. I'm looking for a way to do an "offsite" backup of my financial docs (encrypted obviously). Around 200MB.

    You could just have the software split each file into 10MB increments and transfer it as an email through POP3, with the subject of the email containing the file name and what index number it has attached.

    Hm....

    yea it works for me, i did not know it was only 10mb cap tho :(

    oh, it works now. i guess i needed a restart or something.
    i hate the file extension limit of 40 chars though!
