There are a couple in my gym, a lot of people use them. I personally haven't though, no help.

    Doesn't your gym have one?

I loved deadlifting with those things in high school. It felt so easy and natural.

But I think they would be great because they would force you to keep your arms away from your sides. I don't see any reason to get the square one though

Nope.. none in my gym. Working on building a home gym... and db shrugs don't really get the job done anymore. Want to do BB shrugs with heavier weight, and feel these are a safe way to get it done.

whats wrong with bb shrugs? those bars are ok but kinda worthless besides that one exercise. deadlifts with them are quad dominant so not sure you wanna do that. alot of coaches that train athletes use it for DL's because its safer as in doesnt strain the posterior chain

can you use more weight with a trap bar than a normal oly bar? or does it really depend on the person? just curious

trap bar is definitely easier, grip becomes more of a problem with it though.

Never used that type of bar, I just use a straight bb.

I'd get one if i had a home gym.
