anyone try crossfit.com exercises?

    what do you guys think? reminds me of clean cardio type exercise?
    good to lose weight and get in shape? how would you incorporate this into your weight training?

    id say its good for experimenting, but if you have a clear cut goal you should have a clear cut routine. a lot of their exercises to me put you to the test to see where you stand in terms of being fit. some are pretty intense, and i guess you could incorporate them sometimes to test yourself.

    Just do the WOD (workout of the day) if you want a good mix of cardio, speed/power, and strength. It will get you in good shape, but you aren't going to get super strong or huge on it.

    how about incorporating this 2-3 times a week with a regular weight lifting routine? overdoing it? or good

    I do it once a week because "Crossfit-Atlanta" has a GHR bench and its free.

    this kinda looks like that reverse sit up device? or is it the same just a diff exercise applied to it.

    what is crossfit atlanta by the way. is it a gym or a club? i thought crossfit was just a club and a program.

    That is a GHR bench.


    Crossfit Atlanta is a "private" gym that the GT Rugby Coach opened up because he jacks off to crossfit and it convinced it is the best thing since sliced bread. I believe its free because their are no prices on the website and he has never approaced me about paying. I go once a week and count it as my DE squat/dead day in order to get some GHR stuff in. I also am sorta on the rugby team here so I think that helps.

    what is that lower back exercise bench called? [​IMG]

    kinda looks like the middle pic to the left. can you use that to do ghr exercises?

    it's a hyperextension aka Roman chair and no you can't do GHR's on it

    I would say it's too much for most people... you can definitely incorporate some of their ideas in to your training, but Crossfit is made to be a "complete" training system. It's made for people who care about conditioning, speed, etc, not size.

    no, look at the pic with the big dude (Jim Wendler) wearing a backwards hat. That is a GHR Bench.

    i know but what i was trying to get at is...doesnt the device in the cartoon look some what similar? no idea what that is called though.

    gota try to find a ghr bench
