I've been snapping pics for a little over a year, and I want to take a beginner class in digital photography/photoshop. I've found a couple online, just want to get a little input before I register for anything, any recommendations?

And here is a pic I took yesterday while hiking

I have a pretty good video course for photoshop from lynda.com. If you have an OiNK account you can download it there, it's about 4GB I think. I've learned a lot from him. Once you master layer adjustments, curves, and masking you PP will turn out much better. Mind posting the original pic you took there?

You should really look into the lynda.com and see if you can find it for free somewhere. I PPed that pic above this post, I'll show you what can be done with some easy curve adjustments (and shadow/highlights because it's so underexposed.)

Holy shitty host, batman. BRB trying to fix it. Have to use imageshack until I find a better host. :sad2:

Definately worth the hit on the ratio. He teaches lots of good techniques for touching up.

anybody know of a good digital photography course though? PS is only gonna work with whatever I'm able to capture with the camera and so want to learn to take a better picture too.

I'm gonna get these bitches from isohunt later...

But for the OP's question, I've never seen an online college level photo course... Although I'm not sure why...

I take part time photography courses, and they're extremely helpful, but I take them in person. My school doesn't offer them online.

Well after I found out that the local classes were filled up for the summer already, I just googled and found this page:

    http://www.betterphoto.com/photocourses/skill.asp

so it seems like it wouldn't be too hard to find a course at all, I just didn't know if there was a course that anyone here had done before, or had heard good things about, or whatever.
