About the only people happy about the ammo price increase must be Dillon & the other reloading supply companies.

They must be selling reloading units as fast as they can build them.

I haven't started yet, but it will be the next major purchase I do, I'm going to start saving all of my brass that I can reload for later use.

Seriously considering it given that those Lee Pro 1000 3-station progressive press kits can be had for ~$140 with almost everything you need for one caliber.

I'm sure that one can get better/nicer presses, but I've heard good things about them and a co-worker recently got one and had no trouble with it - save for the primer feed when it gets low.

I was gifted a single stage lee press. I bought a set of dies, a primer inserter, and ewnt to town. I was just reloading .45. I'm going to man up and get some 9mm dies.

I've been planning on getting a setup but I'm probably going to wait until I finish school and get a place to set up all the equipment. :hsd:

I was planning on getting the Lee Pro 1000 at the time... seems good enough for me and the price is nice. :dunno:

Good press :) I can't tell you how many Thousands I've saved with my set up. I officially make .45 ammo CHEAPER than you can buy 9mm WWB from Walmart. I make 9mm ammo for $75 a 1000 rounds. If you want to also learn to make lead bullets, you can make 1000 rounds for 30-40$.

My buddy is picking up our next order this Wednesday. We'll see how much 50k rounds of bullets can lower the back of a Explorer. :mamoru:

Here you go...:) . I was a little stuffed up, so I sound like a dweeb, but you get the deal. I did an EDU on it last year, do a search. It was fairly comprehensive. Let me know if you have any questions.

Btw, how many times can you reload a brass casing? Once? Twice?

How many licks does it take to get to the center of a....

oh, yeah. Well it depends on your loads. A "major" load, will probably zap brass in 2-3 loads.

I build my loads to "just" barely make a powerfactor of 125 for 9mm, and just a hair over 165 for 40 and 45. BTW Powerfactor is velocity x bullet weight and is measured over a chrono.

I inspect all of my brass before I tumble them, and then inspect them again before I load them in my bin for reloading. It's fairly easy to find bad brass by inspecting the case lips. If there are any "suspect" brass, you can do a press check by placing some weight on it sideways on the table and rolling it looking for splits. But I have so much brass, if it even looks suspect I toss it out.
