Since I don't stock it, I don't have a set price. Reason why I ask for the lowest, in-stock price you can find is so I can try to offer it to you for less.

Fuck a bunch of that goofy nonsense.

You could do a lot more with a VXIII 3.5x10x40, sent off to Leupy for M1 turrets.

    In which way?

Seemed like the best price on vx glass with an illuminated reticle. Looking at 50mm for low light gathering (dawn/dusk heavily wooded areas)

What else should I be looking at? :dunno:

    Edit: $700 or less, please.

Better glass with get you better low light capabilities, as will fewer lenses (IE, less zoom), with a straight Leupy 6x42 being pretty damn bright.

I don't run illuminated reticles, so if that's your thing, my suggestion probably wouldn't work. I find the concessions to running the huge bells, especially on something I want lithe and handy, to most definitely outweigh and perceived benefits of a larger objective.

Are you specifically hunting at night, or are you trying to buy an extra 15 minutes in the AM/PM extremes?

The reticle in my Leupy turns gold in low-light or against a dark background. I've had no problems seeing it clearly 30mins before/after daylight (legal time to hunt here.)

    this

This is the first scope that cost more than 150 that I will have for my own to hunt with. I have shot with/looked through friend's and coworker's more expensive glass (leica, schmidt & bender) and although 7-800 bucks won't get me that quality, I have a super boner for getting some decent optics on my rifle.

I honestly don't know what I want for what I am doing, which is sitting in a stand in the woods. Getting there an hour before sunrise and leaving an hour after dark. Figured the 50mm would help immensely in the darkness of the early morning woods.

I won't be doing any walking/stalking in the east texas piney woods, just sitting in a tree/box stand. The size of the scope isn't really an issue.
