Looks like a really cool documentary. Very positive reviews.
I dont know if I want to see it. Looks like eh I dunno. I mean how long can you really sit down and watch those things walk around and not get bored.
I want to take the GF to see it, she loves penguins.
LOL, the original French film had the penguins speaking, now it is just Morgan Freeman narrating.
Hah! I wanna see the French version.
I've seen it. If you like penguins I would say it's good fun, some of the footage is incredible and you start to consider them as little fat people... with the waddling and such. The voiceover narration is pretty cheaply melodramatic though, that's the negative.
Im going to take my daughter this weekend
I haven't but I bet murderball is better.
best doc of the year by far.
Is there any mountain scenery in it or just flat ice?
I heard it was good, but I can't see any story in it.
I just saw it a few days ago. Very moving. I've always liked penguins but after seeing it I have way greater respect for what they go through. It's about their mating ritual they go through every year. The scenery they show is very beautiful. You will laugh and cry at this film. I really enjoyed it! Plus they are so dang cute!
There's a story in it.
Murderball was ok, but I got irritated by the focus on US and Canada... so the ending was hilarious with the grand finale defeat and then finding out that little New Zealand beat them all! That huge upset would have been a better story than the all time undefeated champs being the main focus.
I think March of the Penguins is a doc people could watch in ten years and still enjoy while I think Murderball isn't something to watch more than once nor buy, etc.
