Anyone see any potential problems with this set up?

I agree, but my budget doesn't.

I agree with getting rid of the mobo though.

Get the D930 instead. They overclock extremely well on air.
Then use the spare money to get a better mobo.
Jolly can tell you the right Intel board to get.

By the way, I like the Coolmax psu's. I've had good luck with them.

    lies.

Wait a month and get Conroe. If nothing else, the Pentium D will drop in price.

$100 for a not-so-great PSU is a ripoff. For the same price, get an Enermax... Much better.

Foxconn? ahahahahahaahaaa... (damn shitty) Go get an Intel D945PSNLK for the same price!

That case? please, that's a joke. For less money you can get a Silverstone TJ-04.

Don't even pull the "budget" card, because I just built you a BETTER system, for LESS money :wackit:

Waiting on the Conroe and it's trickledown effect is not a bad idea.

But I stand by the Coolmax psu's.
I used the CW-650T for one build I did. Rock solid.
And with the money you're saving him, he could afford it.

Waiting until someone else makes a suggestion before contradicting them and offering one of your own? Brilliant! Using a vague suggestion to lure someone else into making a detailed suggestion, so you can point out exactly how they're wrong? Even more brilliant! Gosh, I wish I could be like you, so clever, so devious.

    I worry about him.

Sure as I'm breathing, a guy like that is going to try to take over the world some day!:noes:

The "lies" comment was not directed towards Emmet Brown... I should have quoted the post in mine, but the "lies" was directed at the "budget" comment by the original poster, in response to me "new mobo, psu, yada, yada, yada"

Notice that my counter specifically addresses the cost concern for which I called "lies".
