The 60GB drive just isn't cutting it running dual boot with XP
i am looking at a 160GB Hitachi
take some pics when you do the swap
It's only like unscrewing 3 screws so it should not be too difficult.
i was just wondering of any issues installing. i installed the ram just fine, even though one of the screws on the aluminum plate was acting all gay
I'm pretty sure you just do it, then pop in the OSX install disk and do a clean install (that should also format it correctly etc)
Good link... I bookmarked that for later... the index...
i think my new ram may be fucked, my shit has trouble booting up now
er i will have to look it up. 2 1gb sticks
like it will get 1/2 way through booting up into XP and just shut off
my sticks are not paired and it runs like a dream... make sure they are in there nice and tight. When I first installed mine, i had trouble getting htem secure in their slot (mainly because you have to push hard as hell for htem to go in, and i didn't want to use brute force on my new macbook), which caused all kinds of issues while booting.
how do you go about installing paired ram? is there a specific assignment?
