    I hate iphoto. Even if they did make improvements with the newest version, I'll never try it because the last version was terrible.

    iPhoto 09 is pretty nice. I use it for all of my point and shoot stuff. I use Aperture for any real stuff I do

    :werd: its perfect for a gf or parents, that being said i'd love to see face detection and facebook integration come into aperture / lr. While they are not features a photographer would want they are great for personal albums etc.

    it actually has some reasonable image retouching power too, its not a toy any more.

    Yeah, uploading to Flickr without the extra plugin would be nice. I've had some issues with the plugin. Full integration with Flickr would be awesome

    I haven't played with it but I did watch the tutorials and have seen some of the newer features.

    If you didn't like the old one, definitely try the new one. It isn't a LR/Aperture replacement but does a great job for the average consumer.

    :werd: but if it were, then they wouldn't have Aperture. iPhoto is for more basic consumer, Aperture (or Light Room) would be more for the prosumer/professional
