When did this game come out? I remember reading about it and watching videos. Sounded interesting, then it disappeared. i had no idea it came out. There's a free 14 day trial. Anyone know if it's any good?

I'm pretty sure I saw that game at Ingles for $5 for the last year.

I keep wanting to buy it, but then I keep thinking...it's $5...it can't be that good.

City of Heroes is fun for the large amount of options in character customization for both appearance and combat skills. I had ALOT of fun with it for about two months, but after that, I got bored. It's definitely worth 5$ if you can get it for that with a free month included.

That might be what I was thinking of. I remember seeing a superhero MMO preview not too long ago.

City of Heroes is fun until you press the play button after creating your hero.

Champions Online comes out this summer, which is basically the spiritual successor to City of Heroes.

CoH was fun for a while, but then got kinda lame. The new expansion looks kinda interesting. It introduces a "mirror" world where things are the same, but different. :noes: Also you can make your villians into heroes and vice versa.

That said, I probably won't ever touch CoH again. Champions Online looks fantastic though. CoH was sold to NCSoft by the devs a long time ago and the devs are now making Champions Online. The nemesis system and character customization will put any and all other games to shame.

I had fun with my characters up until level 15ish or so. But yeah, character creation was the best part. :sad2:
