Had my heart set on a Savage 10FP or 10FCP McMillan but started to look into the CZ 550 American or 550 Varmint Kevlar. I have a 452 Lux and 75B SA and i'm a CZ believer. Itll be used for target shooting and to hunt. Itll only be used at 100 yards max for now (what the local range offers) but Ill have an AR before the end of the year so I don't want another .223 caliber rifle for general plinking or shooting at that range.

Skip the bullshit and buy a used 700 barreled action, and drop it into a McM.

I have a 10FCP HS-Precision. I'll vouch for it as a target rifle... it'll drive tacks but it is heavy as fuck and not terribly well balanced so not something I'd personally want for hunting.

Picked up a box of 6.5x55 Swede at BPS. Price was $24.99 which is the same price as online vendors. Did the prices on .270WIN and .308WIN go up? The last time I checked it was close to $15 and now it's about $21. 6.5x55 in a 140 gr bullet has a sectional density of .287.

    6.5x55 SWEDE : 270 WIN : 308 WIN

The price of all ammo is up, metal prices are through the roof due to booming foreign economies and the war.

You could get a Tikka T3 chambered in 6.5x55 Swede.
