I was in the gym today and saw a custom American Iron Horse cruiser and fell in love. My interest got me on the web and I recently discovered Jesse James's West Coast Choppers. Hot Damn I wish I had money! Anyone own a cruiser similar and can post pics of your ride?

I don't have one, but I do find them interesting to look at.

Jesse James makes some beautiful bikes, but I've heard a lot of bad things about the quality of his work (bikes/motors falling apart, etc..).

THats odd, I'd figure handmade ones would have higher quality.

Depends on what they're being made for.. His bikes are mostly about look, and as such he puts a hell of a lot more effort into making them look cool and way too much thought into how well the bike will hold together.

He doesn't build his own engines, he farms them out to someone else..

There's a Discovery Channel special (2 actually, but the second is the one I'm talking about here) about him and it's pretty funny.. He builds a new bike to take to Sturgis and it breaks down part way there.. :p
