I am considering picking up an 06 or 07 Acura RL to replace my very tired Accord. Any opinions on these cars? I took one for a test drive the other day and was very impressed with the fit/finish of the car and the way it drove. Definitely fit the bill of a luxo sedan and the current prices are making it a very appealing car.

Anyone own one? What have you found to be the pros/cons of the car? Would you recommend it? Would you buy another one?

Apparently not. Looks like an overgrown Accord and it's not my first choice for entry-level luxury.

Any other suggestions? Looking to buy pre-owned in the mid to high 20s.

Its a consideration. The newly refreshed model is actually very nice.

RL is a nice ride, especially the new ones.

If you want a little more fun with a nice ride though, get a TSX.

wtf suggesting a TSX over an RL. The old RL's are so much nicer than any TSX (especially the ugly ass new ones). AWD 300 hp >>> FWD 200 hp. RL interior quality >>> TSX interior quality. The only tihng I thought the TSX had over the RL when I drove them was steering response....that's followed by understeer.

The RL is a great looking great riding car, and the SH-AWD is awesomem as well. comparison drive the m35 and gs350 with it. Ignore the BMW 5 and the Merc E and the A6 in this price range, they're all fail.

Not a fan of the m35 styling. Might check out gs though. The BMW 5 while nice just doesn't appeal to me at all. The A6 is on my list but in my price range (under 35k) there isn't much of a selection.

Basically I am looking for a 4 door sedan with AWD that will keep me comfy during my 1hr commute. Nav and XM/Sirius are also requirements...

Ok.. time to eat my words. I'm actually very close to buying an 07 M35x at the moment. Never really took a good look at them and after swinging by a dealer I really like the features and styling which is much more aggressive than the RL. I like the driving dynamics too. Feels more like a RWD car than an AWD car.

Thats because the M35X uses the ATTESSA-ETS AWD system which was originally developed for the GT-R....its basically RWD until it detects slip and then the front wheels come in...
