I love being able to track my workouts in Gym Buddy. But my workouts have been balls for over a month now. I'm long overdue for a new regime and I just finished reading 5/3/1. Actually read it twice. I've got most of this figured out and I'm pumped to start out. But I'd rather not carry around a pen and paper to track this shit.

Is anyone using GymBuddy on the 5/3/1 routine? Is there a way to make it 'easy'?

I use an excel spreadsheet that was made by a member here. You only have to remember three weights, then you just do assistance work so you don't need to take a log with you to the gym. You can probably find it if you look back a few pages, or make your own, it's not too tough.

I store my planned workouts in a notepad .doc, from there I upload it to my itouch and bam, I have access to my lifts and percentages anywhere.

I used to be pretty anal about it, but lately I just do 5 sets of 10 (Wendler talks about this in the book). I change up the exercises fairly often, but I'm trying not to over think it too much. When I get really caught up in things I get bored quickly.

the easiest it gets it setting up your workout before you go. imho gymbuddy is already well streamlined. just give it a try. the longest i've spent is 15 seconds when i had to put an exercise on there that i'd forgotten about from its internal list

You know you are right. I used it last night after posting this and just had to sit down for a few minutes and configure a few things. It worked great.

I'm just going to have separate groups for week 1,2,3,4.
