that actually firm up like a real protein bar does so that it doesn't have to refridgerated or else it turns to mush?

I want to make some for dieting, but I don't want to waste a bunch of supplies on some dogshit bars I'm not going to eat. The last ones I made didn't involve any baking; it was strictly mixing and putting in the fridge. Any ideas?

I saw a recipe on how to make peanut butter protein bars. You just get some chunky PB, protein powder, some nuts, mix them and run them up into balls. Toss them in the freezer and take em out an hour before consuming.
It was in this month's Men's Health or something.

Definitely just made protein muffins. They don't have enough protein or enough taste, but I was really just testing out baking them to see if they would be mushy or not. They turned out really well consistency wise and I think they'll be a great replacement for the detour bar I normally bring to work.

Here's what I used to make 2 of them.

    1 scoop vanilla protein
    1/2 egg white
    1 tablespoon milk
    1/2 cup oats
    vanilla extract
    cinnamon
    1 tablespoon peanut butter

Baked at 350 for ~7-10 minutes.

Yeah they recycle that recipe every few months. It's still great.

If you can wait a bit... apparently there is going to be a whole bunch of recipies for home made protein bars in next month's Powerlifting USA magazine. There were also some good ones posted here a while back. I'd search but I don't have a sub.
