    Anyone

Could turn out two or three ways

    1) A sort of Sanda fight with both guys looking for throws while using their elementary striking, both guys are awesome judokas but sometimes when learning other arts they tend to forget what they are good at. The problem with awesome judokas is that they tend to neutralise eachother, the good thing is that both will probably wear the GI and so they can actually use their throws without adapting them.

2)takedown and guy on the bottom decides to try and work a guard and prove his groundwork, no striking, one guy wants to win by submission and submission only. This can make for a terrible groundfight particularly after seeing tak on the ground at times, the guy is no machine on the ground that's for sure.

    3) Striking match, heaven forbid we ever see this. Like shoji vs filho but worse.

    4) What i'd love to see is intense scrambling and a kind of judo honour style fight where they will keep getting back up to work the throws.

Some scenarios that i don't want to entertain are the striking and ground match because neither will be particularly great. What i would like to see is the sanda scenario or where they both come to fight or where one guy comes to fight and the other thinks that it's going to be a straight submission or judo style match.

I'd love to see one of them come blazing out of the gates with strikes and unsettle the other and set the tempo of the match. They have to realise that the guy who initiates in this match will dicatate where the fight will go. Hopefully they won't use shitty striking to then try and grip fight and regress back to a judo style.

They have got to remember that this is a fight and not a judo match, this is why nakamura has adapted really well to mma. He knows it's a fight, he knows that he has to dictate the pace and what he is good at and stick to it.

This fight could be incredibly boring or pretty exciting, unfortunately i am thinking it will probably be boring but alas it still will be interesting to me. What's interesting is that it will be the first all gi mma fight that i have seen and also two judokas, two very high ranked judokas fighting. That alone is very rare and all the more interesting.

It's a shame they didn't sign akiyama, that guy really looks to have the attitude for mma. Despite getting ko'd by lebanner he really showed some aptitude for mma and his weight room lifts and physicallity really does impress.

Probably two much text for what looks like a mid card fight but i do judo and so it interests me:p

Im pretty sure this fight was arranged so that Dong could redeem himself. Hopefully it goes into a very technical throw-fest, but who knows it could also be as crappy as dong's first fight.

they will want takimoto to win

dong is known as the japanese killer over in korea and so the ante is there to be raised and draw in the ratings, losing to dong would be an embarassment to him and his team.

    I just hope it's interesting.

what I found funny was how many sack-riders there were on sherdog just based on dong's credentials.

imagine a japanese guy and then a korean dude

dong ->judo champ, kept out of the olympics due to korean university politics. Widely regarded as one of the best judokas and beaten numerous olympic champs in competition. Got dispatched in 20 seconds by sakuraba, got hit, turtled and tko'd. I guess he wasn't used to getting hit. Looked like crap.

Takimoto--> Olympic gold medalist, fought Sentoryu in his first fight and was outweighed by nearly 100 pounds, fought to a sligthly dull tentative decision with a few nice takedowns, but who could blame him with that weight difference in his debut. Then fought tamura and really didn't turn it on till the very end where he actually realised he could throw punches and started to gnp. His punching was wild but had intent, hopefully this break inbetween fights and the relatively even experience between the two will make for a good fight.

I think takimoto will win, he is with a good team and seems more intent to strike. Dong really hasn't had a fight yet, and that 30 second smashing by sak can't really help him as far as fight experience. But at least he will get minutes on the clock here.

some people have a knack for fighting, others don't.

however that doesn't detract from him being a world class athlete.

and if that pic was in anything but a mma forum you'd think it was some gay porn scenario with sak in that diaper.
