I just started getting into classic rock last month when I got my dad's old records from him. Then I was given the new Who album, Then and Now for my birthbay. It is really cool. There are some great songs. I can't believe I have been missing out. Anyone else like them?

pinball wizard and teenage wasteland baby
    ...and boris the spider :bigthumb:

  5. Teenage Wasteland = Baba O'Reilly

And yes, the Who are awesome. Precursor to 70's punk and influential in a lot of early 90's grunge.

Um, welcome to planet Earth. The Who are only one of the most beloved rock bands in classic rock.

Here's a useless fact. Despite all of the hits that they've had, The Who have never had a number one record in the UK or the US.

the who are great. a few weeks ago i went to the rock opera tommy, which is basically a play with kick-ass music. solid story too--tommy, the deaf, dumb, and blind kid (pinball wizard--how does he do it?). haha, anyway, it's cool you're getting into classic rock. been listening to anything else?

why? just because they wrote a song called teenage wasteland?

they were the precursor to disco and that trance fusion all the hippies are listening to these days

The who sell out is a decent psychedelic album, the first 7 songs anyway. Check that out and get tommy as well. Teenage wasteland and baba o'reily were sell out songs.
