    Greetings,

My ex business partner is using my email address pretending to be me and when I asked him to delete the email from the server he only changed the password and continues to use it.

I would like to send a shitload of spam to my own email address. Did some research online, looks like the way to do it is just go to all sorts of random websites and sign up with my email address.

Is there any other way of doing this?

I appreciate your help with this and if it's against any of the forum rules I apologize in advance.

you tried the adult thing and asked, so how about sticking with the adult thing and going to the police and telling them someone stole your email account and changed the password and is now pretending to be you?

also, call the ISP and report the guy and see if you can get his service discontinued.

and last, since email crosses state lines, call the local FBI office and see what they'll do about it (but they'll probably say to go to the local police).

I would assume this could be thought to be somewhat identity theft if you really wanted to nail the guy. Otherwise just call the email provider tell them what happened, and they will close the account more than likely.

This is so low priority, that it will never be dealt with by the feds, the police, or the isp.
Get a new address, send it out to all your clients, and apologize for the hassle. You might add a brief comment about what's going on if you feel it will help.

Don't you have some sort of password recovery?

I can't help but ask why you didn't change the password on the account yourself, back when you still knew what it was.

How do you keep people out of your house? Change the locks. It's not hard.
