My Aunt has her only son and the only man to carry on their family name who is currently deployed in Iraq. I was always under the impression that they cant send the only son. Like in the movie Saving Ryans Privates.. i mean saving private Ryan.

Anyone know anything about this and how to get him pulled from Active Duty there?

Hes already enlisted its just a matter of wartime deployment in hostile territories im wondering about. Since being in Iraq and american isnt really a friendly place to be.

Well, first off.. does he want to leave? Or are you just trying to gain some information and insight to influence him with some ultrademocratic viewpoint?

Im just gathering information for his mom who is really stressed about having him over there. So, I just want the correct info as ive read mixed things about this topic. I'm unsure if he wants to leave or not. I also know alot of people there myself who are having a blast so its all a matter of preference.. i guess.
Im not ultra democratic in anyway. Its all up to the person. I just want to give his mom , my aunt the correct information ya dig ;)

He enlisted. He raised his right hand. He chose to serve his country. You shut your mouth.
