i found a bunch of wires under my passanger seat, a thick blue plastic coated one, a silver plastic coated one, a couple plugs that look like the ones my xbox plus into a TV with, and a couple that are U shaped at the end, what are these for??

i would assume the blue is power, silver is ground, the xbox ones are for R and L audio (rca cables) and the U shaped ones would be 1 as remote input (tells an amp when to turn on or off) and the rest would be output to speakers

depends on what the amp was wired to. if it was powering a sub, you'll need one of those too.

good idea. but i'd check under the hood and make sure the power wire isn't still live.

the biggest wire (the blue one ?) should be the power wire. it should be either connected to the battery or laying disconnected near it some where. if it's connected, hopefully they put in an inline fuse, which you can just pull and then it's fine. other wise disconnect it from the battery.
