i was about to buy some pocket wizards, but then realized that I can buy a full working set of cybersyncs (1 transmitter & 2 receivers) for the same price as one pocket wizard

i understand one benefit of PW's are the ability to use them around other PW users (without fear of interference) ... i'll be using these almost exclusively inside my house, so that's of no concern. Range shouldn't be an issue either.

What do you think of your Cybersyncs?

    is there an FPS limit?

Which do I get, the CSRB+ or the CSRB? the "+" can be used with the new "cyber commander" thing, right? is that the only difference?

I have a set (CSRB and CST). I have only shot ~100 shots with them but I have 0 misfires, and 0 problems with them. They work as expected and seem well built and up to anything I can think of. They have 15 channels. I am not sure about the fps limit but I don't usually shoot in continuous.

The new cybercommander stuff and the + version is cool and all but only works with certain lights.

Supported lights include AlienBees, UltraZap, White Lightning Ultra, WLX Series and Zeus.

I don't have any of those so I stuck with the regular CSRB, its all I need and is very simple to use and setup

i think i'll get the CSRB's as well ... i may get some alienbees down the road, but if i do, then i'll buy some of the +'s if i really think i need them.

    i'll probably order today. :o

I use them. I have two receivers and a transmitter (not the "+" version)
They work great! no misfires or anything like that
my only complaint was the cords they came with are kind of cheap and kept slipping out of their connection. I bought new ones (they did replace them for free, but same problem)
With the new cords everything has been great!

    3.5mm to pc, 2.5mm to pc, 3.5 to 3.5 and a 3.5mm to 1/4 in adapter

btw 3.5mm is 1/8in I think, regular headphone size. But they are all mono

Im pretty interested in what the CS users have to say too. I FINALLY have my sandisk rebate coming in the mail ($160) and was going to use that towards some wireless triggers.

Cybersyncs are great they are reliable.

    FPS limit is 3FPS

CSRB+ isnt out yet, only available for preorder. So get teh regulars for now. Alienbee offers an buyback option for the CSRBs when the +'s are out.

    transmitter - CST
receiver - CSRB or CSRB+ both battery powered, the new one (+) can be controlled using their new commander thing but only if you have that commander thing and have the transmitter hooked up to an AB flash

    EDIT: just read this shit
