    I was doing full cleans & jerks last night. I worked up to about 175 and then planned on doing some high reps with 135. Unfortunately, my body was used to the higher weight, so I pulled it much higher than expected which caused me to lose my balance while trying to catch it. Ended up falling over backwards from the full squat position to my back with the barbell over me like I was going to do a floor press. Some guy ran over and helped me up.

    Pretty embarassing :o

    i have squatted 285, 290 before but that last time i tried doing 315 it didnt work out too well. lightweight :(

    It happens.

    And it's honestly nothing to be embarrassed about. I'd only be embarrassed about a mental mistake -- like when some guy put a plate on one side and not the other and sent the barbell flying away from the bench when he unracked.

    That's embarrassing.

    I was close last night.

    Was doing 4 board presses to work my lockout... was trying to bring the bar down low enough on my chest to get the "right" groove. The groove I like is slightly higher on my chest... the bar just straight didn't budge. Put everything I had into it, and popped it up 3 inches back into my normal groove and then it came up like normal.

    Pretty sad... but atleast it wasn't a failed attempt.

    I've only hit my jaw once or twice, and usually when the bar is empty and I'm getting warmed up. I'm trying to keep my fillings :hs:

    Another thing which is always fun to do is to misrack the weight when you are doing a clean, so it puts a whole bunch of pressure on throat and when you try to jerk it you start to passout because of blood not getting to your brain...

    i saw a guy doing immensly inclined sit ups, and he sort of started to slide off of the machine he had man made with a bench and some aerobic steps and sort of smash head first into the ground, his face made my day

    another guy who was doing decline chest press got stuck once aswell and couldnt get up, the weight had him pinned down and i could hear strange cries for help through my ipod

    best one i ever seen was at my uni gym, but it was on a treadmill, some woman got onto it, wearing their full indian cloth thing, not sure what its called, sari? its the least conventional thing to wear on a treadmill anyway, needless to say it got trapped and she flew off with half of her clothes missing at rush hour

    My av is so small you can't see it!
    My gym has the power racks where instead of pins there are two adjustable hooks that lie in grooves with nothing holding them. (They can move up freely, but cant move down at all) Once i was quatting, i was trying to rakc the weight, but all of a sudden i stepped too far forward, the bar hit the hooks from the bottom as i'm going up, and the hook flew out. I stood there for a while thinking what to do next, and i had to drop the weight.

    I've pinned myself on the flat bench before going for a new PR.

    I've also tripped over a machine near the end of a pretty heavy leg day, that was embarassing. Only old people are supposed to fall like that. :rofl::rofl:

    I pinned myself with 225 on incline the other day. I had just come off of doing 100 dumbbells and was like I think I can bang out a few reps of barbell. Got one up, second one... dead... guy came over and picked it up off me. :o

    My friend got stapled on cleans and fell backwards with 315 and tore both of his patella tendons.

    So uh, try not to do that.
