How do you like the round and what do you shoot (as in what manufacturer/model)? Pics? :x:

I'm thinking about getting one at some point :dunno:

my brother has that in wood/bull barrel. I like it alot but it's kinda heavy(expected of course). It is really accurate and the 17hmr is actually a pretty strong round. Much stronger than 22LR even with the plastic tip. Only thing I don't like about it is that it costs $11 for 50 rounds.

I know you can get a conversion kit for like ~$160 for a 10/22. Other than that, I don't know much else except most of the guys at work love theirs :dunno:

My buddy has one. We shoot black birds and stuff with it. It's a fun little gun, I just can't justify spending $300+ for a gun like that.

its 10/22 mag for the 17HMR
a regular 10/22 can be swapped over to 17HM2 though

I got a NEF Sportster, which for the money is dead on accurate. I like the round, and there is alot of talk about it over at rimfirecentral.com

The rounds seem over priced, they cost as much as .45.

theyre a great varmint gun, and a tackdiver, but only out to about 100 yards or so.

however, I believe there are much better choices.. unless for some reason you want to keep the noise level down..

    220 swift, 22-250, 204 Ruger, or even .223

my brother has a savage, bolt action, syn stock, 17 hmr, he loves it :dunno:
