I'm not talking about just a mobile version of your site... i already have that. I mean someone who you paid to build an actual iphone app that shows up in the App store and interfaces with your site.

I was trying to learn how to build the apps but just don't have the time right now to learn and build something that's actually usable.

If you have any recommendations, please post them.

I would be interested in this as well.

More for the personal use of it, rather than the available in the itunes store, but I am curious about that also.

I'd offer, but I am slammed with my own project at the moment.

You might want to try rent-a-coder

Best bet is to see what people have done before. I've done work for people before. I won't do it again though :o

Yeah. i'm trying to get a feel for how good of a choice it would be to hire some random ass person to do it. I also have no idea what kind of costs are associated with it

I did a project for a guy for ~$1500 - it should have been more $8000. But I was bored and felt like getting paid to learn the SDK :o

If you want to convert clear check book to an iPhone app. read the reviews for cha-ching and see where it has gone south - it is overly complicated.

You can get good deals on hiring people through there. but you could also get screwed. just check peoples history and ratings

Yeah, I was going to keep it simple.

A free version that lets you add/edit/delete transactions, accounts and categories.

A pay version that does the free version, plus has reports and searching built in.

have you ever done "real" coding with memory management?

it isn't that hard to program for it if you've done c/c++ before

I've pretty much just done PHP for the last 8 years. That's my problem. I've been trying to do some tutorials with the SDK but I just don't have the time to dedicate to it like I used to.

If I had the same kind of free time like I did in college then it wouldn't be an issue. Now I've got a bunch of other shit on my plate coding wise.

I can give you help in a month.

If you are serious about doing it yourself or getting someone to do it, I'd at least apply now for the developer account as a business. It takes about a month to get all the paperwork sorted out.

    Should make an OT App.

One button will take you to the n00ds, one to the drama, one to any post fazle made in the last year, etc.

Didn't realize it took that long. Thanks for the heads up.

I'll see if I can get myself a little more time to learn the SDK. It's something I want to do, so I might as well try and learn it.
