I want one...can any owners give me resources, or tell me (websites, etc), information regarding problem areas and such? I've been looking on craigslist for a few months now. What will I be paying for a good condition, well running, mostly rust free car? (I live in the Bay Area, by the way). I think they are great cars, I've wanted one for a long time now.

I had never heard of a Datsun 510. I just looked it up. What do you like about them? They've got a slight hipster vibe to them, but other than that they are wholly forgettable.

I live in australia and they are very popular for restoration and modification around here.

Im not fully into the 510 (datsun 1600 here) but i know they rust in rear wheel arches and in the floor i think too.

I know a few forums in australia that could help you out www.ozdat.com for one.

If you want conversion parts for SR20DET etc i know a few places where i live that have made kits for LHD 510 and shipped then the USA.

They're popular among people who like them, mainly because you can put any kind of engine in it that you want.

Nickle Dimes are sweet. I've never owned one, but thought about going that route more than a few times. Instead I stick with 2ng Gen Rx7's and the now super popular AE86's.

Here's a forum that I lurked for a while when I thought about picking one up.
