Anyone here ever try Velocity Diet?

    And if so, results?

    I'm not interested in trying it, but was reading up on it for fun. 28 days of nothing but shakes (well, you get 4 healthy solid meals throughout that period).

    Plugged my numbers in, and they alloted me 1370 cals per non workout day :eek3: and 1740 per workout day!! Maximum fat loss, Maximum muscle retention it claims. :noes: Seems pretty extreme, haha, and my 28 day supply of supplements woulda ran 560 some dollars!!!!!!! Again, i wouldn't do it, i think there are better plans out there. Anyone here ever tried it?

    I tried it twice and couldn't last longer than a week. Dropped a few lbs in that 1 week each time, but gained even more back when I broke down and started binging on everything in sight.

    humans are meant to eat solid food... the mental challenge of sticking to something like that doesn't sound worth the fat loss to me.

    does velocity diet supply the supplements? can you make the shakes yourself from whey/malto/etc. that's out there?

    The page i was looking at on T-nation asked you to put in height weight age sex, and then it calculated how many calories you are alloted, as well as came up with the complete list of supplements you "need" with a convenient "add to cart" button 1/4 of an inch away.

    So basically, no, it prescribes exactly how the shakes are to be blended and with what products. Tells you when to eat them, and probably has a workout routine attached somewhere, but i didn't look into it that much. I know people seemed to say you weren't supposed to be doing any cardio with it.

    I'm sure it would work to some extent, but i also think that its going to be misleading, b/c on a diet like that, you'll obviously jump back up in weight during your 1 or 2 week "transition back to solid meals phase" and after. But anyone who does it will be stoked after the 28 days and come and right a stellar review of their weightloss. a month later when they've probably put 1/2 - 2/3s back on, they aren't likely to come back and update.

    just my thoughts.

    on the contrary. I had my jaw wired shut for a month and lived off ensure and milk-based products with probably almost zero dietary fiber and absolutely nothing solid. My shits were rock hard :dunno:

    Yep, i did it a couple of years back...Its great if you stick to it properly.
