Yesterday at my hockey game I got hit open ice and fell right on my tailbone, in the one place my pants didn't have any padding. I can barely walk and can't apply ANY pressure at all to it, the pain is very extreme and intense, I can't stand it. I can't bend down, sleeping is impossible because there is not any position I can get in that doesn't cause pain, when I took a shit the pain was just incredibly horrible.

Everything i've read says it takes several weeks to months for a tailbone injury to heal, WTF??????????????? I can't deal with this shit for several weeks to months!!!

I'm going to a doctor today, hopefully i'll get some pain medication or something. I looked at my ass in the mirror, and the area where my tailbone is is COMPLETELY black and blue, I can't even gently touch the skin the area is so tender.

I can't even do half of one situp now because the pain is so intense on my tailbone, it's a very sharp pain that radiates throughout my whole body. I was doing really well on my 3 mile run time and everything.... i'm really angry that this happened, if I can't run or do situps or anything that I need to do for a few weeks, i'm going to be extremely pissed.

Even just bending over causes a lot of pain in my tailbone, I don't know how i'm going to be able to go the gym, leg exercises are totally out of the question and for upper body stuff, I don't even think i'd be able to bend down and pickup the weights, or be able to do anything lying/sitting on a bench.

    FUCK

Anyone here ever had a tailbone injury? :wtc: :wtc: :wtc: :wtc: :wtc: :wtc:

Once. It wasn't nearly as bad as yours, but it hurt like no one's business.

One time as a youngster I was sledding and I went off a makeshift ramp and landed on a treestump with my tailbone. It was about how you've described your pain. It was bearable within a day or two and gone within a week.

Skim boarding in the Bahamas i fell on my ass. The beach wasn't nearly as forgiving as you'd expect it to be. Was really sore for a while, but it wasn't as bad as you're describing.

It's possible you broke something, might wanna go see a doc.

meh....even if he broke his tailbone, the only thing the doctor would say is "take pain medications and stay off of it!"

Not too much you can do for a tailbone injury.

I haven't personally but my aunt (63 years) did a few years back. She broke her coccyx (tailbone) when she slipped on the stairs.

All in all when everything healed up and thousands of dollars in medical bills - to this very day she cannot sit up straight in a chair due to the degree of the fracture and the way it healed up. She also has horrible posture now. It takes forever for her to walk anywhere and she had to get a handicap tag for her car. lol

I honestly hope you didnt break anything.

Just got back from the doctor, no break or fracture and it should be fully healed within 2 weeks. But I can't run or anything and can only do standing exercises at the gym, so no seated/incline/bench/laying down anything.

    I also got pain killers.
