Road America in Elkart Lake, WI - 4 miles long
Blackhawk Farms in Beloit, WI - 2 mi
Grattan in Belding, MI - 2 mi

There is another in Indiana, I can't remember the name. Also I thought I heard they were building one down towards Aurora.

Not sure about open days to the public, there probably are, but not sure. I am a member of BMW Car Club of America. The local Windy City chapter and the Badgerbimmers chapter organize driving school events at most of these tracks. Ther Porsche Club of America also organizes events, but I am unsure about Nissan/Infinity clubs. AFAIK anyone can join BMWCCA, though. A club event is the way to go since the car club handles all of the details. It is usually around $200-400 for a weekend of driving. There are classes such as Novice, Intermediate, Advanced, and Instructor and the groups are on the track at different times. Sometimes in between sessions there are classroom sessions or handling exercises.

Your car needs to be in good condition(signed inspection form), you need a helmet, equal restraints for the driver and passenger(instructor), long pants and sleeves, and no junk in the car to fly around. A video camera is a great way of remembering the experience and helps improve your technique.
