There is a pretty good discussion on it over at M4C. http://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=17903

I tried it out for a week with my SSII and 19 and with the right holster I think it could be a pretty good option. It generally concealed well for me, and with practice I think it could be significantly faster than the 3:30 position.

The SSII is definitely not the holster to use long term, though. The cant made getting the grip and drawing awkward, and it rode just a little too deep to be comfortable while sitting, which is what I do most of the day.

I think I'm going to order a Raven ACR and a couple of mounting options and give it a shot. Just curious if anyone has any thoughts...

I tried it for a few days when my friend ranted and raved about it. It just became too uncomfortable for me when I was driving or sitting.

I can conceal a much larger piece in the back than I can @ 3:30, since I'm a fairly small frame guy (5'7" and 140lbs)

I hear it can cause serious back problems down the road. Something about sitting unevenly, causing a curvature in your spine.

    Appendix is front, usually 1:00-ish.

oh. I thought it was the side/small of the back, like where your appendix is. How the fuck did that become the nomenclature for front?

  7. Laurel appendix carries her 642. She seems to like it.

    Yes, I'm stupid.

Isn't the right lower quadrant of your torso your right side, just above/at your waistline? That's my SOB carry location.....hence why I thought that was "appendix" carry. :hsughno:

I should totally just shut up now. lol

I appendix carry if I am running into the store or something with my 642. I just shove the Nemesis holster down my pants and tighten my belt. For me it's actually the most comfortable carry position as well as the most concealable for me. Only problem is I can't sit down with it

I appendix carry. It conceals quite easily and is comfortable enough to sit/drive with. Most importantly, it's accessible when I'm seated, like in my car. I think if the clip was offset a little less, it would be a little more comfortable to carry though. It's an Alessi APX holster. This holster is versatile enough that when I'm doing yardwork and stuff and don't want it in front of me when I'm constantly bending down and standing up and stuff, I can comfortably slip it around back too, and I assume it would conceal fairly well there.

Here are a few shots from a couple weeks ago, and some I took today. I put a button-up on over my sweater so you can see what it looks like without a clingy shirt on too.

That's how I carry, with no holster. It's the only thing that feels natural.

i have the vanguard. it actually works exceptionally well. in fact, i'm using it right now. it needs to wrap around a belt or something sturdy. the belt (obviously) will rip the guard from the gun when you draw but also you can adjust it so it also keeps the gun riding at a desired high in relation to the waistline.

:dunno: Raven is the flavor of the week for the tacticool crowd right now so I figure if it blows I could probably turnaround and sell it pretty quick. I do like the fact that it has lots of adjustment because I can tell it will need to be "just right" to be comfortable in AC position, especially with some Glock 19 size.
