I only carry my AMT 9mm on my ankle. I have no idea what kind of holster it is. But its annoying. It falls down after a few steps.

I sometimes carry a 442 in an Alessi Ankle rig. Ankle holsters are very personal depending on how your leg/calf is shaped.

The Alessi's work great for me.

I have a galco for my xd 40 SC (rather large gun for ankle carry IMHO). Its very soft and comfortable when it doesnt slide down. I have been told the calf strap can help eliminate the sliding problem.

alot of people recommending allessi and desantis in my thread over at glock talk.

question: is alessi the same is desantis? if you google alessi holsters, desantis holsters is the first result...

He does not have a regular site, if he has anything it lists contact information only, can't remember.

He doesn't, word of mouth keeps him very busy. He has also been pretty sick lately and in the hospital for a while. Here's the latest:

I think he is unquestionably one of the best holster makers (you won't find a nicer guy either) and his ankle holster is the standard but know that you'll probably be waiting a while for it.

    716-691-5615 is his phone

You might consider checking out this guy's work too http://www.bulmangunleather.com/ankle.html I've never seen it in person but I believe that Bulman was taught a lot by alessi (like actual working with not just ripping off his stuff) and they seem to have similar designs. He may be less backed up...

edit: I'll add though that while lou has always been really easy to get a hold of in the past, I've heard bulman is quite difficult to get in touch with. If you order from bulman I'd be sure you understand the "you'll get it when it gets there" thing.
