just wondering who is, and any good recipies or anything like that?
i'd rather get bird flu than eat grass for the rest of my life.
just put cheese in everything, and load up on the spices, and everything tastes good
first of all, you are an idiot....great way to get fat, what about other non-animla sources of protien such as beans or lentils?

I went vegetarian for just short of 2 weeks once just to see what it was like. I had no intention of keeping it up, just wanted to see what it was like and how it effected me.
It fucking sucked and I gave up. I felt like I was going to die of malnurishment. I give vegetarians that are decently strong/in shape mad props.
i still eat meat occaisionally... it's not that i hate it or i'm against eating it in any way, i just found that since not eating it i've felt a lot healthier, and haven't been having digestive/bowel irritations. i'm still drinking milk, eating eggs and whatnot, but i try to cut meat out whenever possible
i've been eating a lot of bean/lentil based products, noodles, tofu and soy-based products (and no i'm no developing gyno or anything like that)
there's actually more options than most people think...

All the criticism in this thread shows how much of a "Fitness and Nutrition" forum this really is. If you meathead faggots are going to be assholes then get the fuck out and go to a Powerlifting/Bodybuilding forum. Anyways, being a vegetarian is fine. The Taoist Food Pyramid says that you should eat 40-50% grains, 30% vegetables, 15-25% legumes, and 5% anything else. if you eat that way you're sure to be a healthy mother fucker.
Just make sure you get an adequate amount of protein in your diet. As for recipies, I don't know shit. Stir fry and rice is my favorite meatless dish that I can think of.

Does fish count as meat for vegetarians. Omega-3’s found in fish and seafood have to be gotten from diet, as your body can’t produce them on their own. It HAS to be present in your diet to strave off a deficiency. The only non-seafood sources of omega-3 I can think off are Flaxseed oil and Walnuts…and they don’t contain DHA/EPA…
Non-animal protein sources usually suck. A single source won't provide all the essential amino acids and their bioavailability is not that great. There are other stuff which we cannot really get from veggies/grains, like iron and vitamin B12.
I have a vegan friend that still eats fish.
You can get omega-3 from colza oil and nuts oil in a great amount too. There are some other but these are the best.
If by colza oil you mean canola oil then yeah your right. Most nuts however don’t contain any omega-3, that’s one of the problems in that they fuck up your omega 3/6 ratio.
Too much omega-6 too omega-3 leads onto a whole load of problems including depression.
Also, any non-seafood sources of omegae-3 don’t contain EPA or DHA, which you can become deficient in aswell even if you take Flax Oil ect., check out this article for more details
most seeds such as pumpkin and sunflower are a good source of o3/6
and soy noes contains all essential amino acids
and if u have a vegan friend who eats fish then they're not a vegan. vegan != vegetarian
