    Anyone here a:

DBA administrator - if so which flavor? (application, systems, or other)
    DB Analyst
    DB Specialist

What's your day to day tasks and with what flavor DBMS.

I think I'm moving into a db specialist position starting Monday (well, starting Monday I'll be doing something with data). It looks like the position MIGHT take me along the application DBA path. My dad is more of a systems DBA so I'd like to hear from any app. DBAs that might be out there...

I did an extensive revamping of the Access program the estimators at work use this summer, does that make me a specialist? ;)

Using Access as a tool to manage a real RDMS is ok. Using Access to manage an Access database does not count.

Yea, that's what I thought. I didn't really do a huge amount of work on the database itself either, mostly the interface.
