My friend is trying to convince me that he got ultra rare subs made by resonant engineering. He claims that it cost him $1200 and they only build them when u order and you can only pick it up in vegas. I searched the web but i couldnt find any prices. He got the xxx 12'.

Also hes claims that hifonics amps are also built to order and there are only 2 dealers in CA. I thought i saw em at car audio stores all the time and they werent that great....Anyone know any info on this?

resonant engineering builds the sub when u order them yes, and they ship them to u, no BS about u having to pick them up. the XXX 12" costs around 400 bucks u would have to call them for exact pricing shipped to ur door. Hifonics can be found anywhere online for VERY cheap and it is decent stuff, its more on the budget side for car audio.

oh and respl.com is the website for them.

Yah this guy is always full of shit, what can i say to own him? Now he says he bought in bulk, and got em for 390 a piece and sold em all to his friends for 1000 each....and he says he made "hella" money.

i duno what u can say to own him, u could email resonant for a price list then show him the email. 390 is the regular price for the XXX 12". and u can show him the mass amounts of online sellers for hifonics. ikesound.com has the bx series for super cheap now.

ok maybe you can. show me a non-reactive load bench test of your hifonics busting out 1500 watts.

as far as RE goes, they're more SPL-oriented... the SQ was fairly shitty yet they're by no means the loudest subs. so why bother?

a few of the different models, all sizes except the 10, both sealed, ported, 4th AND 6th order bandpass of varying sizes in a hatchback, sedan, extended cab truck, and a van. powered off an amp that far exceeds the quality of a hifonics.

let me guess, they only "POUND LIKE HELL" if they're the 10" model in an aperiodic inside a coupe powered by a hifonics
