there is a used set for sale for $25. from what i can find, they used to be sold in JC Penny back in the 80's

here is what the guy says about them...
"they are brand "MCS", and have a frequency range of 60-20,000 Hz, and run on 5-60 watts RMS. they are good home stereo speakers for tv surrond or radio. the stand about 2 1/2' tall and are about 12"x15" wide. 8" sub, mid, and tweeter in each. sound fine and look nice. give me a call if you want to check them out."

do these suck? i'd probably use them as rear surround speakers for tv/movies. any info helps. i'm using an Onkyo receiver at 85 watts.
