My Dad just bought a Pro-Charger for his '99 C5. But of late we've had some really hot days and it has been overheating. No water leaks or anything like that.. just running too hot. Has anyone else encountered this? Or has anyone tried the Pro-Charger set up? Supposedly 455hp at the wheels... will post pics when all done..

The LS1 runs hot normaly, between 210-230. Unless you're getting detonation, or your boiling over, I wouldn't worry about it. However, overheating is pretty rare with the GenIII V8s, they have an exceptionaly good cooling system. Chances are if you're having a problem overheating, it's something commen. Check all the usuals first, like thermostat, glycol mixture (get rid of the dexcool aka "deathcool"), radiator cap, ect. If you haven't already done so, flush the system out, and add in regular glycol coolant, 50/50 for winter, less for summer.

Check to see if the lower air dam is in good shape. If it is missing, air will not get directed up and through the radiator.

Also invest in a low temp thermostat. Hypertech should offer one.
