I really wanna get the Cintiq 21UX, has anyone had the joy of owning it or using it?

I think it seems pretty intuitive if the display area is inside of the pad surface, I am just curious how odd is photoshop configured if you wanna have your editing surface on the pad and still full view on screen?

Have an intuos3 6x11. Absolutely fantastic.
Don't need a built in display, seems smaller/less useful than my 30".

    They're fucking amazing.

I have used a Cintiq at length in the schools advanced photo editing station, and it's SUCH a big improvement over the regular tablet, I can't even begin to explain it.

I mean you're actually editing your image, instead of editing on a blank piece of paper and looking somewhere else at your image... Hard to explain, but it really does make a huge difference....

That said, I wouldn't buy one unless I was heavily editing images on a daily basis. It's a pro tool. Kind of a waste of time unless you really need it, ya know.

The Intuos 4 is what I have in my office and at my house, and I find it more than adequate for normal photography stuff.

yea its always akward looking at the screen and sribbling on the pad. I'd imaging scribbling on the image directly would be so much easier.

it's got more short cut buttons and better features for someone who likes to freehand most of their designs, but the main thing is the pressure sensitivity and response is much higher.

bascially it has double the pressure levels of the bamboo (2048 vs 1024) and double the resolution.

it's like comparing a point and shoot camera against a DSLR, imo
