How do you go about doing this with OS X? :o

I'd prefer the entire drive on my MBP to be encrypted for travel, ect.

    THANKS BROSEPHS.

the built in one is Filevault in the security prefs, only encrypts your login though..

those hacks require the machine to be killed immediately after the logged in user has been sitting at it so they can freeze the ram and attempt to extract the key before it dies. if you log out and shutting down you before you put your laptop in your bag - then it gets stolen sometime in transit etc... i think you'll be ok.

care to name something you would rely on?

you might want to look into something like TrueCrypt.

    they have a mac version.
i haven't used it yet on my mac, but their encryption is damn good. i'm not aware of any way to break it, at least not that any local / state / federal law enforcement agency has.
