I had it on an FTP but it's down right now. I'll check when I get home.
great thanks....... the ftp off of the suse site SUCKS..... Its slow as shit.
BTW: I want the 9.0 version
doesn't suse have an install from their ftp site? or is that slow as well?
I'm looking for an ISO so I can have it burned to disk.......But its too damn slow to download
no u have to PAY for version 9.0 iso's.
Really.......I did not know that.
Well I would like some LInux version at least....
I don't think you can get full-version SuSE CD's without paying, you have to use the net installer.
Is the net installer a pain in the ass?
Well at ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/ I was trying to get the Live Evaluation version. It has the ISO on there to download
Thanks I will have to try that at my high school, torrents don't work on my internet for some reason
...Still looking for someone to upload it to my server if anyone is willing
Live-eval is the one you run off the CD I think.
The net installer isn't a PITA at all actually. As long as your NIC is supported (shouldn't be a problem, almost all of them are) it's easy. You just go through the normal installation steps until the package selection. Then it downloads a list of packages from the server (only takes a second), you select the ones you want to install, and it downloads them and installs them (you can just leave it running overnight or while you go out or whatever and when you get back it's done).
about how many mb does it have to download?
The boot CD that you download to run the net installer off of is about 20 megs, and how much it has to download later depends on how many packages you want to install. It's less than what you'd download if you dl'ed a full set of CD's though.
